Let me start by stating a quote I found that, I think, describes a nurse's duty:
To be a nurse...to do what nobody else will do, in a way that nobody else can do, in spite of what all we go through, that is to be a nurse. -Anonymous
I became a nurse in 2007. Nursing was my second career. Originally, I got a degree in accounting and worked in that field for 8 years. Accounting jobs became scarce and I found myself unemployed. I searched for positions up to 50 miles away and never found the right fit. I liked the medical field, always have, and with the support of my wife, I went back to school. So far, I feel that it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Being an accountant, I was detailed or somewhat organized. With those skills I started gathering other resources that would help me in nursing school and now help me on the job. And being business minded, I put together this website to help others. Most of the sites came from "My Favorites" while others were recently added from research or suggestions from others. And that is what I want you to do. Make this site your home page. Tell me about your favorite nursing sites, resources, stores and I will add them to this one. You can submit your suggestions by going to the Contact Us page and filling out the form. Or you can just email comments@4allnurses.net. I looks forward to hearing from you and I hope you enjoy 4AllNurses.Net.
